We visited for 2 hours and no one ever came to the room at all. I even turned on the light for help and still no one came. People need to start leaving reviews on places that they place their family members in this is sad and unacceptable something really needs to be done about it. If you don’t check on your family members I can promise you they will not be treated right.
They forgot her medicine, then they gave her the wrong medicine, then they gave her the right medicine, but gave her DOUBLE the dosage she is supposed to have. This made her deathly sick, and their response was to blame her for not telling them the correct info. Then, when scared for her safety, I tried to pull her out of that retched place, and they threatened that if I tried to take her out of there they would claim insurance fraud. Thankfully a lawyer friend of mine helped me, and I was able to get my mother brought to safety. If you care for your loved ones at all, ensure they never step foot in this place.

I didn’t meet any staff members except for the person that was touring with me, and she was nice. I truly regret putting my mom in a nursing home during stupid COVID. My father lived in Blakeford at Greenhills for a couple of years. He went from assisted living to the nursing home. The nurses were not good, but some of the techs were better. The nurses in the nursing home didn’t care, and my dad ended up in the ICU. The carpet looked like it was from the ’50s.
My mother thought those people was her family. They all knew her and came in her room to make sure she had everything. The therapy department made her participate even when she didn’t feel like it and that is what she needed. Whenever I need information about her doctor appointments or what medicine she is on I can call the D.O.N Farris and she goes over everything and she is real patience. The kitchen manager even made me a lunch tray when I was there and the food was good.
While the nurses are friendly, they are not the best communicators. They would not answer the phone nor return my calls. What’s funny is that when I was finally allowed to visit, I noticed someone was always at the nurses station.
